This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02178) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human PNPLA8. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PNPLA8 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes a member of the patatin-like phospholipase domain containing protein family. Members of this family are phospholipases which catalyze the cleavage of fatty acids from membrane phospholipids. The product of this gene is a calcium-independent phospholipase. Mutations in this gene have been associated with mitochondrial myopathy with lactic acidosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
DPABH-02178 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000) application.
DPABH-02178 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
