General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28579) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PNPLA2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PNPLA2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PNPLA2 (Patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing protein 2) is a human gene that encodes the enzyme Adipose Triglyceride Lipase (ATGL), which is essential for breaking down stored fats (triglycerides) into energy. Located on the surface of lipid droplets, this enzyme catalyzes the first step in lipid hydrolysis. Mutations in this gene cause Neutral Lipid Storage Disease with Myopathy (NLSDM). DPABH-28579 is suitable for use in WB 1 (1000-3000), IHC 1 (50-1:200), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications. DPABH-28579 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
Q: Do you know whether this antibody is specific for human tissue?
A: It is an antibody that is specific for ATGL ser406 phosphorylation. It's not human pecific, but it can be used for mouse sample.
