General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-06070) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PIM1, targeting the amino acid region 98–313 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PIM1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PIM1, officially known as the Pim-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase, is a gene that encodes a protein belonging to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and the PIM subfamily, playing a pivotal role in signal transduction pathways that promote cell proliferation, survival, and resistance to apoptosis. Located on human chromosome 6p21.2, PIM1 was first identified as a proviral integration site for the Moloney murine leukemia virus in hematopoietic cells, marking it as a proto-oncogene with oncogenic potential. The protein exists in two isoforms generated by alternative translation initiation: the longer isoform (PIM1L, 44 kDa) which localizes primarily to the plasma membrane and includes a proline-rich motif for protein interactions, and the shorter isoform (PIM1S, 33 kDa) which predominates in the nucleus and cytosol.
DPABH-06070 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-06070 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
