Product Background
Antigen Description
Adrenorphin, (also known as opioid growth factor OGF and related to Met-enkephalin), is an opioid octapeptide derived from the multihormone precursor, Proenkephalin A, (PENK). It is secreted from the adrenal gland and may have effects in the brain. It is an inhibitory peptide that modulates cell proliferation and tissue organization during development, cellular renewal, cancer, wound healing, and angiogenesis. It is involved in a number of physiologic functions, including pain perception and responses to stress.
Pathway
Class A/1 (Rhodopsin-like receptors); GPCR downstream signaling; Peptide ligand-binding receptors; Signaling by GPCR
