General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24286) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PCDHGC5, targeting the amino acid region 31–402 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Protocadherins, which constitute the largest subgroup within the cadherin superfamily, are predominantly expressed in the nervous system and are probably involved in the regulation of neuronal recognition and connectivity (PMID: 17936607; 12231349; 17133224). The protocadherin subfamily can be further subdivided into three groups: the clustered protocadherins, comprising α-, β- and γ-protocadherins; δ-protocadherins; and others, many of which are solitary (PMID: 17133224). Disruption of the γ-protocadherins locus causes neonatal lethality, and Pcdhgc3, Pcdhgc4, and Pcdhgc5 are essential for the observed lethality.
DPABH-24286 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application.
DPABH-24286 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
