This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18113) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PCDHA5, targeting the amino acid region 29–400 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PCDHA5 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PCDHA5 (Protocadherin alpha 5) is a member of the protocadherin family, a subgroup of the cadherin superfamily. Protocadherins are neural cadherin like cell surface proteins which are present at synaptic junctions. Their specific functions are unknown but they most likely play a critical role in the establishment and function of specific neuronal connections in the brain. PCDHA5 is one of fifteen tandemly arranged genes within the alpha cluster of protocadherin genes on 5q31. DPABH-18113 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IHC (1:500–1:2,000) applications. DPABH-18113 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
