This product (Catalog No. DPABH-08879) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human PCCA, targeting the amino acid region 451–550 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PCCA from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit of the heterodimeric mitochondrial enzyme Propionyl-CoA carboxylase. PCCA encodes the biotin-binding region of this enzyme. Mutations in either PCCA or PCCB (encoding the beta subunit) lead to an enzyme deficiency resulting in propionic acidemia. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
DPABH-08879 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-08879 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
