General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11139) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human PAFAH2. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase isoform 2, a single-subunit intracellular enzyme that catalyzes the removal of the acetyl group at the SN-2 position of platelet-activating factor (identified as 1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glyceryl-3-phosphorylcholine). However, this lipase exhibits a broader substrate specificity than simply platelet activating factor. Two other isoforms of intracellular platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase exist, and both are multi-subunit enzymes. Additionally, there is a single-subunit serum isoform of this enzyme.
DPABH-11139 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:100–1:300) applications.
DPABH-11139 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
