This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01081) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR8S1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR8S1 (Olfactory Receptor Family 8 Subfamily S Member 1) is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes an olfactory receptor — one of the many G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) responsible for detecting odorant molecules in the nasal epithelium. These receptors initiate neuronal signaling that contributes to the perception of smell. Like other olfactory receptors, OR8S1 has a characteristic 7-transmembrane domain structure and is part of the large olfactory receptor gene family in the human genome.
DPABH-01081 is suitable for use in IHC 1 (50-1:200), WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-01081 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
