General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01034) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR8J3. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR8J3 (Olfactory Receptor Family 8 Subfamily J Member 3) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes an olfactory receptor belonging to the G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. It is predicted to have the canonical seven-transmembrane domain structure typical of olfactory receptors and is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons of the nasal epithelium. OR8J3 functions in the detection of odorant molecules by binding specific volatile compounds and activating intracellular signaling pathways via olfactory G proteins (such as Golf), leading to cAMP-mediated neuronal activation and contributing to the perception of smell. As with many human olfactory receptors, the precise ligand specificity and detailed functional properties of OR8J3 remain largely uncharacterized. DPABH-01034 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications. DPABH-01034 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
