This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05717) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR6S1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with OR6S1 from rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR6S1 (Olfactory Receptor Family 6 Subfamily S Member 1) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes an olfactory receptor belonging to the G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. Like other olfactory receptors, OR6S1 is predicted to have a seven-transmembrane domain structure and is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons of the nasal epithelium, where it contributes to the detection of odorant molecules. Upon binding specific volatile compounds, it activates downstream G protein–mediated signaling pathways (commonly involving Golf and cAMP), which ultimately leads to neuronal activation and the perception of smell. However, the specific odorant ligands and detailed functional characteristics of OR6S1 remain largely unknown, as is common for many human olfactory receptor genes.
DPABH-05717 is suitable for use in IHC 1 (50-1:200), WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-05717 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
