General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00927) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR3A2. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR3A2 (Olfactory Receptor Family 3 Subfamily A Member 2) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) superfamily, which belongs to the class A G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs). OR3A2 is primarily expressed in the olfactory epithelium, where it is involved in the detection of odorant molecules and the initiation of olfactory signal transduction through coupling with G proteins such as Golf, leading to downstream activation of cyclic AMP signaling pathways. Structurally, OR3A2 contains the characteristic seven-transmembrane domains typical of GPCRs, enabling it to bind and respond to diverse volatile ligands. Although its specific odorant ligands and functional properties have not been fully elucidated, OR3A2 contributes to the broad repertoire of olfactory receptors that underlies the human sense of smell.
DPABH-00927 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-00927 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
