General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11202) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR2W1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR2W1 (Olfactory Receptor Family 2 Subfamily W Member 1) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes an olfactory receptor belonging to the G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. It is predicted to possess the characteristic seven-transmembrane domain structure typical of olfactory receptors and is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons within the nasal epithelium. OR2W1 participates in odor detection by binding specific volatile odorant molecules and activating intracellular signaling pathways via olfactory G proteins (such as Golf), leading to cAMP-mediated neuronal activation and contributing to the perception of smell. As with many human olfactory receptors, the specific ligand specificity and detailed functional properties of OR2W1 remain largely uncharacterized. DPABH-11202 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200) applications. DPABH-11202 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
