General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-27144) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR13G1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR13G1 (Olfactory Receptor Family 13 Subfamily G Member 1) is a protein-coding gene that belongs to the large olfactory receptor (OR) superfamily of G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs). OR13G1 is primarily expressed in the olfactory epithelium, where it is involved in the detection of odorant molecules and the initiation of olfactory signal transduction through coupling with G proteins such as Golf, leading to activation of downstream cyclic AMP (cAMP) signaling pathways. Structurally, OR13G1 contains the characteristic seven-transmembrane domains typical of GPCRs, enabling it to bind diverse volatile ligands. Although its specific odorant ligands and detailed functional roles have not been fully characterized, OR13G1 contributes to the diversity and specificity of odor perception within the human olfactory receptor repertoire.
DPABH-27144 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-27144 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
