General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28779) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OGN, targeting the amino acid region 180–298 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human OGN from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Osteoglycin, also known as mimecan or osteoinductive factor (OIF), is a small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycan (SLRP) encoded by the OGN gene located on chromosome 9q22.31 in humans. As a class III SLRP, it is a secreted component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) that contains leucine-rich repeat motifs and is involved in organizing ECM structure while modulating cellular signaling pathways. Alternative splicing of the OGN gene produces multiple isoforms, with the primary function centered on regulating tissue homeostasis through interactions with growth factors like transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs).
DPABH-28779 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-28779 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
