General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05225) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human NPEPL1, targeting the amino acid region 1–351 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human NPEPL1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. NPEPL1 (Aminopeptidase-like 1, also known as Aminopeptidase PILS-Associated Domain Containing Protein) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a predicted cytosolic metalloaminopeptidase-like enzyme. It contains structural similarity to aminopeptidases, suggesting a potential role in N-terminal peptide processing or protein turnover, although its precise enzymatic activity and physiological substrates are not fully established. NPEPL1 is broadly expressed across tissues, consistent with a housekeeping or general cellular maintenance function. It is thought to participate in intracellular protein metabolism or regulatory peptide processing, possibly contributing to protein quality control or signaling peptide modulation. Despite its predicted enzymatic features, experimental evidence for its specific biochemical function remains limited, and its biological roles are still under investigation.
DPABH-05225 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-05225 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
