General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26033) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MYB, targeting the amino acid region 1–356 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The MYB protein is a transcription factor that plays a key role in regulating the proliferation/differentiation of progenitor cells in bone marrow, colonic crypts, and neurogenic niches [PMID:18574464]. It is involved in the regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and invasion in neuroblastoma, colon carcinoma, and embryonic kidney cells through the upregulation of the transcription repressor Slug [PMID:20622260]. It also a DNA-binding protein that specifically recognize the sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3', and plays an important role in the control of proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. MYB exists some isoforms with MV 85, 75, 72, 68, 63 and 40 kDa.
DPABH-26033 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-26033 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
