General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19307) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MTMR12, targeting the amino acid region 1–350 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human MTMR12 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MTMR12 is a protein-coding gene in humans, officially named myotubularin related protein 12, that encodes an inactive phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphatase acting as an adaptor subunit in lipid phosphatase complexes. Located on chromosome 5p13.3, the gene produces multiple isoforms of the MTMR12 protein, which lacks intrinsic catalytic activity but associates with active 3-phosphatases, such as myotubularin (MTM1), to regulate the dephosphorylation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PtdIns(3)P). This function is essential for modulating phosphoinositide signaling pathways involved in membrane trafficking, cellular homeostasis, and muscle development.
DPABH-19307 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-19307 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
