This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16027) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MTIF2. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MTIF2 belongs to the IF-2 family. It is one of the essential components for the initiation of protein synthesis. MTIF2 protects formylmethionyl-tRNA from spontaneous hydrolysis and promotes its binding to the 30S ribosomal subunits. It is also involved in the hydrolysis of GTP during the formation of the 70S ribosomal complex. DPABH-16027 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. DPABH-16027 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
