General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23221) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MAN2B2, targeting the amino acid region 660–1009 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human MAN2B2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MAN2B2 is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes a lysosomal enzyme known as alpha-1,6-mannosidase, essential for the catabolism of N-linked glycoproteins by specifically cleaving the alpha-1,6 mannose linkage in the core Man₃GlcNAc₂ structure following chitobiase action. Located on the short arm of chromosome 4 at position 4p16.1, the gene spans approximately 48 kb and produces a 4.5-kb mRNA transcript that is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particular detection in the testis (including spermatogonia) and various somatic tissues in mouse models. The encoded protein is a 1,018-amino-acid polypeptide with a molecular mass of about 116 kDa, exhibiting optimal enzymatic activity at pH 4.0 and requiring divalent cations such as Co²⁺, Zn²⁺, Mn²⁺, or Mg²⁺ for stimulation, while being inhibited by specific mannosidase inhibitors.
DPABH-23221 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-23221 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
