This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24256) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KPTN, targeting the amino acid region 79–436 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KPTN from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Kaptin, also named as KPTN and Actin-associated protein 2E4, originally isolated from human blood platelets and likely to be involved in the actin rearrangements occurring during activation. It plays a unique role in the actin rearrangements that accompany platelet activation and stereocilia formation. Kaptin is necessary for normal neuromorphogenesis. It may play a role in producing the sensory apparatus in hair cells. DPABH-24256 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:20–1:200) applications. DPABH-24256 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
