General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01431) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human Kiz, targeting the amino acid region 221–570 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Centrosomal protein required for establishing a robust mitotic centrosome architecture that can endure the forces that converge on the centrosomes during spindle formation. Required for stabilizing the expanded pericentriolar material around the centriole. DPABH-01431 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:500–1:2,000) applications. DPABH-01431 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.

An Evaluation on the Two Samples of the Literacy of Forty Girls' Legend
The humankind has interested the extraordinary incidents and created heroes, whose reputation lasting for ages. This feature has contributed to be created legends, epics and folk tales. In this context, the consisting of the nations, societies and folks has been based on the legends, epics and folk tales and these narratives has been the important part of the national culture. Turkish history and literature have a long and rich past. This feature created a rich national memory. One of the main aims of this kind cultural studies have to study that past by comparing with each other and the cultural memory has to be transferred to today's societies. Kirghiz nation is one of the Turkish peoples and she has got a legend called "Kirk Kiz" explaining their origins. It can be see forty girls (kirk kiz) image some other Turkish folk stories and legends. In addition to this, Kirk Kiz legend is important, because it tells the nativity of Kirghiz people. The second important thing is this legend was interpreted in the beginning of 20(th) century by national point of view, such as Omer Seyfettin and Ahmet Zuhuri (Damsman). The writers and poets helped the transfer of cultural memory from past to future. The aims of this study are; to examine the two narratives by Omer Seyfettin and Ahmet Zuhuri by comparing with each other; to mention Ahmet Zuhuri's work unknown until today; to contribute national culture and literature and evaluate these narratives.
Retinal dystrophy associated with a Kizuna (KIZ) mutation and a predominantly macular phenotype
OPHTHALMIC GENETICS
Authors: Zhao, Yue; Coussa, Razek Georges; DeBenedictis, Meghan J. M.; Traboulsi, Elias, I
Introduction: Mutations in Kizuna (KIZ), a gene involved in ciliary function, have been previously associated with rod-cone dystrophy with relative macular sparing and a number of other systemic abnormalities. Purpose: We present a patient with a phenotype dominated by retinal dystrophy and macular cysts as a result of a homozygous nonsense mutation in KIZ. Methods: A 32-year-old female of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry presented with progressive central vision loss and peripheral visual field loss following decades of night-blindness. She was noted to have a bull's-eye pattern of macular hyper-autofluorescence, intraretinal cystoid macular changes and outer retinal atrophy in both eyes. Visual fields were constricted to KIZ c.226 C > T (p.Arg76*) nonsense mutation. The patient was treated with topical dorzolamide and showed significant improvement in the degree of macular cysts. Conclusion: Mutations in KIZ can present with a predominantly macular phenotype and develop cystoid macular changes responsive to carbonic anhydrase inhibitor treatment. Because of the importance of KIZ in cilia function, it is critical to look for associated systemic manifestations to ensure best patient care.
