General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01819) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KCNJ18, targeting the amino acid region 353–433 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KCNJ18 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Mutations in KCNJ18 gene encoding an inwardly rectifying potassium channel (Kir2.6) cause thyrotoxic periodic paralysis (TPP) and sporadic, that is, non-familial cases of HypoPP. Mutant Kir2.6 proteins form a heterotetrameric Kir channel complex with Kir2.1 and thereby reduce cell surface expression of the complex. (PMID: 25882930). DPABH-01819 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IF-P (1:50–1:500) applications. DPABH-01819 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
