General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CPBT-46943RH) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human SSTR4, targeting the amino acid region 201–300 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SSTR4 from mouse, rat, pig, and rabbit. It has been affinity purified by protein A. Somatostatin acts at many sites to inhibit the release of many hormones and other secretory proteins. The biologic effects of somatostatin are probably mediated by a family of G protein-coupled receptors that are expressed in a tissue-specific manner. SSTR4 is a member of the superfamily of receptors having seven transmembrane segments and is expressed in highest levels in fetal and adult brain and lung. CPBT-46943RH is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. CPBT-46943RH is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
