General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14881) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HMCN2, targeting the amino acid region 330–536 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HMCN2 (Hemicentin-2) is a large extracellular matrix protein belonging to the fibronectin family. HMCN2 proteins form a complex network of microfibrils in the extracellular matrix that is essential for the maintenance of tissue structure and function. HMCN2 is expressed in epithelial cells and muscle tissues, and may play an important role in muscle-tendon attachment. HMCN2 expression and localization suggests that it has an important role in maintaining the integrity of skin and muscle tissue. It may maintain tissue structure and function by interacting with other extracellular matrix proteins, such as fibronectin and elastic fibers. DPABH-14881 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications. DPABH-14881 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
