General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21143) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human HINT2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with HINT2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. HINT2, or histidine triad nucleotide binding protein 2, is a mitochondrial enzyme encoded by the HINT2 gene located on the short arm of human chromosome 9 at cytogenetic band 9p13.3. Belonging to the ancient HINT branch of the histidine triad (HIT) superfamily, it functions as a nucleotide hydrolase and transferase that acts on the α-phosphate of ribonucleotides and specific nucleotidyl substrates, such as AMP-lysine and purine nucleotide phosphoramidates like ApppA and GMP. This dimeric protein, with a conserved HIT motif (His-φ-His-φ-His-φ-φ), exhibits adenosine 5'-monophosphoramidase activity and plays essential roles in mitochondrial biology, including energy metabolism and cellular signaling.
DPABH-21143 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-21143 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
