General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03041) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HIGD2A, targeting the amino acid region 1–106 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HIGD2A from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The mammalian HIGD-family proteins include two subgroups of yeast Rcf1 homologs, HIGD1A/B/C and HIGD2A/B. HIGD1A and HIGD2A (of 10.4 and 11.5 kDa, respectively) have two hydrophilic transmembrane domains and are localized in the inner mitochondrial membrane. HIGD1A and HIGD2A expression is induced under stress conditions like hypoxia or glucose deprivation in human cervical epithelial cells and murine cerebral cortical neurons. HIGD1A may play pleiotropic roles in mitochondrial respiratory chain biogenesis. HIGD2A forms a 50 kDa regulatory module with COX4-1, COX5B, and COX6A1, which binds to newly synthesized COX3 to promote its binding to the previously assembled COX1 + COX2 module (PMID:33291261,32375044).
DPABH-03041 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-03041 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
