General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24250) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GPX8, targeting the amino acid region 38–209 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human GPX8 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GPX8(Probable glutathione peroxidase 8) is also named as GSHPx-8 and belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family. Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) reduces hydroperoxides, including hydrogen peroxides, in the presence of reduced glutathione as a means of protecting organisms from oxidative damage. Several GPx isozymes have been identified in animal cells and these have been classified into different groups according to their cellular location and substrate specificity. In humans, eight types of GPx have been identified from GPx1 to GPx8. The full length GPX8 has 209 amino acids and the molecular weight is 24 kDa.
DPABH-24250 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-24250 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
