General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02024) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GPR21, targeting the amino acid region 170–349 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human GPR21 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GPR21 (G protein–coupled receptor 21) is an orphan class A G protein–coupled receptor whose endogenous ligand has not yet been definitively identified. It is predicted to localize to the cell membrane and signal through heterotrimeric G proteins to modulate intracellular second messenger pathways. Expression of GPR21 has been reported in metabolic and immune-related tissues, including macrophages and the central nervous system, suggesting a role in regulating inflammation and metabolic homeostasis. Experimental studies in model systems have implicated GPR21 in processes such as insulin resistance, adipose tissue inflammation, and glucose metabolism, making it a receptor of interest in metabolic disease research. Although its precise physiological ligand and signaling mechanisms remain unclear, GPR21 is considered a potential regulator of immune-metabolic interactions and a candidate target for metabolic disorder intervention. DPABH-02024 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application. DPABH-02024 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
