General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03467) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GLRX3, targeting the amino acid region 10–117 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human GLRX3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GLRX3, also known as glutaredoxin 3 or PICOT, is a human gene located on chromosome 10 that encodes a monothiol glutaredoxin protein belonging to the thioredoxin superfamily. The GLRX3 protein primarily functions in cellular redox homeostasis by catalyzing glutathione-dependent reactions to reduce disulfide bonds in target proteins, thereby modulating oxidative stress responses. It binds [2Fe-2S] iron-sulfur clusters coordinated by two protein monomers and two glutathione molecules, playing a key role in iron metabolism, including the maturation of hemoglobin and the biogenesis of cytosolic iron-sulfur clusters essential for various cellular functions. Additionally, GLRX3 acts as a negative regulator of cardiac hypertrophy and a positive inotropic regulator in the heart, helping to control muscle contraction force and prevent pathological enlargement. The protein also interacts with protein kinase C theta to modulate its activity, inhibits apoptosis under stress conditions, and serves as an upstream positive regulator of ATR-dependent DNA damage response pathways, protecting cells from genotoxic agents. GLRX3 has also been implicated in promoting cancer cell migration and invasion in some malignancies.
DPABH-03467 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03467 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
