General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00755) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GH2, targeting the amino acid region 27–217 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GH2 (growth hormone 2, also known as placental growth hormone variant) encodes a growth hormone–like peptide that is primarily expressed in the placenta rather than the pituitary gland. GH2 is involved in regulating maternal–fetal metabolism during pregnancy by promoting anabolic processes, enhancing nutrient availability, and modulating insulin sensitivity. The protein shares structural similarity with pituitary growth hormone but has distinct endocrine functions, contributing to fetal growth and development. GH2 expression gradually increases during gestation and plays a role in adapting maternal physiology to support fetal energy demands. Abnormal regulation of GH2 has been studied in pregnancy-related metabolic disorders and fetal growth abnormalities.
DPABH-00755 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-00755 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
