General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-06115) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GADD45A, targeting the amino acid region 1–165 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human GADD45A from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GADD45A, also known as growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible 45 alpha, is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1p31.3 in humans that encodes a small (18 kDa), acidic nuclear protein responsive to environmental stresses such as DNA-damaging agents and growth arrest conditions. The gene's transcript levels rapidly increase following genotoxic insults like ionizing radiation, UV light, and alkylating agents, mediated by both p53-dependent and p53-independent mechanisms, positioning GADD45A as a key stress sensor in cellular homeostasis. Expressed broadly across tissues with highest levels in the liver and kidney, it produces three isoforms via alternative splicing, primarily functioning in the nucleus and cytoplasm to integrate stress signals into adaptive responses.
DPABH-06115 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-06115 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
