General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-17171) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FKBP9, targeting the amino acid region 25–570 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FKBP9 is the gene symbol for FKBP prolyl isomerase 9, which encodes a protein belonging to the FK506-binding protein (FKBP) family of immunophilins, known for their roles in protein folding and immunosuppression modulation. Located on human chromosome 7p14.3 (genomic coordinates 7:32,957,440-33,006,928 on GRCh38), FKBP9 produces a 570-amino-acid protein (canonical isoform) that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and exhibits peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) activity (EC 5.2.1.8), catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of X-Pro peptide bonds to accelerate protein folding and maturation. This PPIase activity is inhibited by the immunosuppressive drug FK506, and the protein also binds calcium ions via EF-hand motifs, contributing to its chaperone-like functions in the ER lumen.
DPABH-17171 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-17171 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
