This product (Catalog No. DPABH-12632) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FAM86A, targeting the amino acid region 1–330 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FAM86A is a class I lysine methyltransferase (KMT), belonging to the family of protein methyltransferases (KMTs), which produces trimethylation (K525me3) at the Lys525 site of eukaryotic translation elongation factor 2 (EEF2) and promotes the binding of eEF2 to ribosomes, thereby regulating the protein synthesis. (PMID: 38508183) FAM86A is expressed in a highly dependent manner in a variety of human cancer cell lines, suggesting that FAM86A may be a potential target for future anticancer therapy. DPABH-12632 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) application. DPABH-12632 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
