General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22746) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FAM173A, targeting the amino acid region 43–235 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human FAM173A from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the Ly-6/neurotoxin gene family, a group of lymphocyte antigens that attach to the cell surface by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor and have a unique structure showing conserved 8-10 cysteine residues with a characteristic spacing pattern. Functional analysis indicates that this protein is not a ligand or neurotransmitter but has the capacity to enhance nicotinic acetylcholine receptor function in the presence of acetylcholine. This gene may also play a role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis vulgaris. Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. DPABH-22746 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application. DPABH-22746 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
