General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-06027) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FAHD1, targeting the amino acid region 28–226 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human FAHD1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FAHD1 (Fumarylacetoacetate Hydrolase Domain Containing 1) is a mitochondrial enzyme that belongs to the FAH superfamily and exhibits oxaloacetate decarboxylase activity. It catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to pyruvate and CO₂, thereby influencing key metabolic pathways such as the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and cellular energy metabolism. FAHD1 is localized to the mitochondrial matrix and plays a role in regulating metabolic flux, mitochondrial function, and cellular respiration. By modulating oxaloacetate levels, it can impact processes such as gluconeogenesis, amino acid metabolism, and redox balance. FAHD1 is broadly expressed across tissues and is considered an important regulator of mitochondrial homeostasis. Emerging studies suggest that it may also be involved in cellular senescence and metabolic adaptation, although its full physiological significance is still being elucidated.
DPABH-06027 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-06027 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
