General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05141) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human EIF3F, targeting the amino acid region 89–240 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. EIF3F is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11p15.4 that encodes the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit F (eIF3f), a key component of the multisubunit eIF3 complex essential for the initiation of protein synthesis in eukaryotes. The eIF3 complex, the largest of the eukaryotic initiation factors, facilitates several steps in translation initiation, including the formation of the 43S and 48S preinitiation complexes, and eIF3f specifically contributes to these processes while also possessing metal-dependent deubiquitinase activity (EC 3.4.19.12). Additionally, eIF3f enables identical protein binding and supports IRES-dependent viral translational initiation, highlighting its multifunctional role beyond canonical translation.
DPABH-05141 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-05141 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
