This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22020) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ECHDC1, targeting the amino acid region 74–269 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ECHDC1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ECHDC1 (Ethylmalonyl-CoA Decarboxylase 1) is a metabolite repair enzyme that detoxifies ethylmalonyl-CoA and methylmalonyl-CoA, preventing the buildup of harmful, ethyl-branched lipids. As a cytosolic enzyme, it plays a critical role in metabolic proofreading, acting as a potential genetic modifier for metabolic disorders like Short-Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (SCADD).
DPABH-22020 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:20,000–1:80,000), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:2,000), IHC (1:100–1:500) applications.
DPABH-22020 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.02% Sodium Azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
