General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13151) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DNMT3B, targeting the amino acid region 1–100 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DNMT3B from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. DNMT3B is a DNA-(cytosine C5)-methyltransferase that is responsible for establishing the methylation patterns in cooperation with DNMT3A through the de novo methylation pathway. It is essential for the establishment of DNA methylation patterns during development. DNMT3B contains a C-terminal catalytic domain and an N-terminal regulatory domain, which are involved in targeting chromatin to regulate its function (PMID: 31547729). DNMT3B has 8 isoforms with the molecular mass of 80-96 kDa. DPABH-13151 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications. DPABH-13151 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
