This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23152) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DCP2, targeting the amino acid region 1–385 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a key component of an mRNA-decapping complex required for degradation of mRNAs, both in normal mRNA turnover, and in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). It removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA, prior to its degradation from the 5 end. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been noted for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011].
DPABH-23152 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IHC (1:400–1:1,600) applications.
DPABH-23152 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
