General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23619) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DRP2, targeting the amino acid region 865–954 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DRP2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. DRP2 (Dystrophin-Related Protein 2) is a cytoskeletal-associated protein that is highly expressed in the nervous system and plays a key role in maintaining neuronal structure and function. It is localized primarily at the plasma membrane and is thought to participate in the organization of the cytoskeleton by interacting with membrane-associated complexes and structural proteins. DRP2 is structurally related to dystrophin family proteins and is particularly important in Schwann cells, where it contributes to the formation and maintenance of peripheral nerve myelin sheaths. Through its role in cytoskeletal organization and membrane stability, DRP2 supports proper nerve conduction and axonal integrity. Disruption of DRP2 function has been associated with peripheral neuropathies, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4, highlighting its importance in peripheral nervous system maintenance. DPABH-23619 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application. DPABH-23619 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
