General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19045) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DLEC1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DLEC1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Deleted in lung and esophageal cancer 1 (DLEC1), also known as DLEC1 cilia and flagella associated protein, is a protein-coding gene located on the short arm of human chromosome 3 at position 3p21.3 that encodes a 1,755-amino-acid protein implicated as a tumor suppressor. The DLEC1 protein is involved in cilia and flagella assembly and function, playing an essential role in spermatogenesis and male fertility by regulating intraflagellar transport (IFT) and contributing to sperm head and tail formation. It is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the testis and lung, and its downregulation or inactivation is frequently observed in various malignancies, primarily through epigenetic mechanisms such as promoter hypermethylation, leading to disrupted tumor suppression and progression of cancers including lung, esophageal, renal, breast, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
DPABH-19045 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:20–1:200) applications.
DPABH-19045 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
