General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19490) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human CYB5R1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with CYB5R1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. CYB5R1, also known as B5R.1 or humb5R2, is a human gene that encodes NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase 1 (EC 1.6.2.2), a ~30 kDa flavoprotein enzyme anchored to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, which catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to cytochrome b5. This reduction supports essential cellular processes, including the desaturation and elongation of fatty acids, cholesterol biosynthesis, and hepatic drug metabolism. Located on chromosome 1 at position 202,961,873-202,967,257 (reverse strand, GRCh38.p14), the gene produces multiple transcript variants (e.g., 3 RefSeq isoforms) and is ubiquitously expressed across tissues such as skin, heart, and brain, with particularly high levels in metabolic organs.
DPABH-19490 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000) application.
DPABH-19490 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
