General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01477) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CLUL1, targeting the amino acid region 21–124 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Clusterin-like protein 1 (CLUL1) functions as a molecular chaperone, protecting stressed proteins, and is upregulated in various neurodegenerative conditions, suggesting a role in defense against neuronal damage (PMID: 17148042). It is specifically expressed in cone photoreceptor cells and is regulated by the cone-rod homeobox (CRX) (PMID: 14507903). Mutations of CLUL1 were investigated in the context of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of blindness in the elderly (PMID: 17148042).
DPABH-01477 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application.
DPABH-01477 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
