This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11726) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human CLN5, targeting the amino acid region 61–120 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with CLN5 from mouse, rat, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene is one of eight which have been associated with neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (NCL). Also referred to as Batten disease, NCL comprises a class of autosomal recessive, neurodegenerative disorders affecting children. The genes responsible likely encode proteins involved in the degradation of post-translationally modified proteins in lysosomes. The primary defect in NCL disorders is thought to be associated with lysosomal storage function.
DPABH-11726 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-11726 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
