CASZ1 (Castor Zinc Finger 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CASZ1 include retroperitoneal sarcoma and chromosome 1p36 deletion syndrome. The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor. The encoded protein may function as a tumor suppressor, and single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with blood pressure variation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms.
Probable transcription factor. Transcription factor involved in vascular assembly and morphogenesis through direct transcriptional regulation of EGFL7. Putative survival-related protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CASZ1 gene. 0The function about CASZ1 antigen include DNA binding; metal ion binding.
