General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26559) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CACNG7, targeting the amino acid region 154–275 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human CACNG7 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CACNG7 (Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Auxiliary Subunit Gamma 7) is a member of the transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory protein (TARP) family, which modulates the trafficking and function of AMPA-type glutamate receptors in the central nervous system. Despite its name, CACNG7 does not primarily function as a calcium channel subunit; instead, it regulates excitatory synaptic transmission by influencing AMPA receptor gating properties, membrane localization, and synaptic stability. It is predominantly expressed in the brain, where it contributes to the fine-tuning of synaptic strength and neuronal excitability. Through its regulatory effects on glutamatergic signaling, CACNG7 is implicated in processes such as synaptic plasticity, learning, and memory. Although its precise physiological roles and regulatory mechanisms are still being elucidated, it is considered an important modulator of excitatory neurotransmission in neuronal circuits.
DPABH-26559 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application.
DPABH-26559 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
