General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19783) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human C9orf171, targeting the amino acid region 1–284 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human C9orf171 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. C9ORF171 (Chromosome 9 Open Reading Frame 171) is a poorly characterized protein-coding gene that encodes a predicted intracellular protein with no clearly defined functional domains or enzymatic motifs. As a result, its molecular function remains largely unknown and is primarily inferred from comparative genomics and expression profiling. C9ORF171 is conserved across vertebrate species, suggesting that it may serve an evolutionarily conserved cellular role, although this role has not yet been experimentally determined. Expression data indicate that it is broadly expressed across multiple tissues without strong tissue-specific enrichment. At present, there are no well-established biochemical pathways, interaction partners, or disease associations linked to C9ORF171, and it remains an open reading frame requiring further functional validation.
DPABH-19783 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IF-P (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-19783 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
