This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25461) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human C8orf4, targeting the amino acid region 1–106 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human C8orf4 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. C8ORF4 (Chromosome 8 Open Reading Frame 4), also known as TC1 (Thyroid Cancer 1), encodes a small intracellular protein that has been implicated in the regulation of signaling pathways associated with cell proliferation and tumorigenesis. Unlike many "open reading frame" proteins, C8ORF4 has been functionally studied and is known to interact with components of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, where it can enhance transcriptional activity and promote expression of Wnt target genes. Through this mechanism, it may contribute to cell growth, differentiation, and oncogenic processes. C8ORF4 is expressed in multiple tissues and has been reported to be upregulated in certain cancers, including thyroid cancer, where it may act as a positive regulator of tumor progression. Overall, it is considered a signaling-associated regulatory protein with roles in modulating key pathways involved in cellular proliferation and cancer biology.
DPABH-25461 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-25461 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
