This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05949) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human C2orf49, targeting the amino acid region 1–232 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human C2orf49 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. C2ORF49 (Chromosome 2 Open Reading Frame 49), also known as CFAP61L (Cilia and Flagella Associated Protein 61 Like) in some annotations, is a poorly characterized protein-coding gene that is conserved across vertebrates. It is predicted to encode a cytoplasmic or cilia-associated protein, with emerging evidence suggesting a potential role in ciliary structure or function, particularly in motile cilia and flagella. Genes with similar annotation patterns are often involved in intraflagellar transport, axonemal assembly, or regulation of ciliary beating, which are essential for processes such as airway clearance, fertility, and embryonic left–right patterning. Transcriptomic studies indicate tissue-restricted or developmentally regulated expression, but detailed biochemical and cellular functions of C2ORF49 remain largely uncharacterized. Overall, it is currently considered an unvalidated or putative cilia-related gene, with functional insights primarily inferred from homology and expression profiling rather than direct experimental validation.

DPABH-05949 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
